Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree
holder in Science-related field
- Background on molecular biology
techniques
- Background on handling goats and
collection of samples (blood, hair follicles, feces, etc.)
- Assists the project leader and members
in the conduct of the research project.
- Meets regularly with the project leader
to discuss research assignments.
- Performs routine
clerical duties as instructed, if essential to
the research activities of the supervisor or project to which
the research assistant is assigned.
- Assists and monitors the acquisition
of research materials.
- Monitors the project
budget.
- Performs research work such
as data gathering/sampling, experimentation, summarizing findings, and data
analysis.
- Attends project meetings.
- Supervises any undergraduate and
graduate students working on the
assigned research project.
- Assists in
administrative duties such as completing reports.
- Prepares other reports and
presentations related to the research project.
- Performs other duties as
assigned by project leader related to the research project.
